Finance Manager (Accounting + FP&A)
Position Overview
We are seeking a Finance Manager who combines strong accounting and FP&A capabilities to support both MainConcept GmbH (Germany) and MainConcept LLC (U.S.). This role bridges local statutory compliance and global financial analysis, ensuring accurate reporting, robust tax support, and clear insight into business performance.
The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience in German GAAP (HGB) and U.S. GAAP or LLC accounting, comfort working across time zones, and a proactive approach to post-close integration and financial ownership.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting
- Lead and support monthly close activities, including accruals, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
- Liaise with German and U.S. tax advisors to ensure compliance with both GmbH and LLC tax requirements.
- Prepare and maintain the monthly reporting package, including trial balance, Opex/Capex tracking, and management adjustments.
- Manage payroll processes in coordination with HR teams in Germany and the U.S.
- Act as point of contact for local audits and assist with statutory filings.
Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable
- Oversee vendor invoice processing, approvals, and timely payment cycles.
- Maintain AP/AR trackers, aging reports, and cashflow forecasting.
- Coordinate with Treasury for intercompany and external payments.
- Support client and vendor onboarding, ensuring accurate data and compliance.
- Perform credit control and ensure regular communication with Commercial teams.
Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
- Own financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
- Develop and maintain revenue, expense, and cashflow models.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly variance analysis and P&L summaries.
- Support management with ad hoc modeling, reporting, and scenario analysis.
- Collaborate with consolidation teams for quarterly and annual reporting.
Qualifications
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration; CPA, ACCA, or equivalent preferred.
- Strong experience in both accounting and FP&A, ideally within an international organization.
- Proficiency with DATEV (Germany) and QuickBooks (U.S.) required or highly preferred.
- Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, financial modeling).
- Fluency in English and German.
- Experience with both HGB and U.S. GAAP reporting standards.
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to manage cross-border workflows and meet tight deadlines.
