Dolby Digital Plus pairs with Blu-ray Disc technology and enhances the audio experience across home theatres, Internet streaming and smartphones. For jobs that demand Dolby Digital formats AC-3 and E-AC-3 for MPEG-DASH and Apple HLS, the MainConcept SDK is your single solution.

The Dolby Digital Plus SDK from MainConcept offers superior sound quality when compared to similar bitrate using other Dolby Digital technologies. It is standard for HDTV channel transmission, IPTV solutions, A/V system support, and more. It is based on the ATSC A52 Revision B specification and it is backward compliant to other Dolby Digital decoders.

MainConcept also offers a Dolby Digital Consumer SDK.

Loudness leveling

The Dolby Digital Plus Encoder SDK from MainConcept supports real-time loudness leveling by allowing the user to set parameters for measuring and correcting the loudness in the provided stream. In combination with the Dolby Evolution Framework for professional encoding and transcoding solutions, the Dolby Digital Plus SDK can be implemented for loudness processing to support proper authoring of loudness metadata or pass through Evolution Framework metadata if no loudness processing is enabled.
