Market-proven MainConcept® AVC/H.264, MPEG-2, VC-3, DVCPRO HD and JPEG 2000 Video SDKs power InSync’s FrameFormer professional frame rate and format converter software plug-in for Apple Final Cut Pro X and Adobe Premiere Pro
PLAINVIEW, NY – May 17, 2017 – NeuLion, Inc. (TSX: NLN), a leading technology product and service provider specializing in the broadcasting, distribution and monetization of live and on-demand digital video content to Internet-enabled devices, today announced that its subsidiary MainConcept GmbH has licensed the MainConcept® AVC/H.264, MPEG-2, MPEG-4 Part 2, DNxHD / DNxHR, DVCPRO HD and JPEG 2000 SDKs to InSync Technology’s state-of-the-art FrameFormer plug-ins product line for motion compensated standards conversion.
FrameFormer is available as a set of software-optimized decoding and encoding plug-ins for mainstream edit and workflow solutions such as Apple’s Final Cut Pro X and Adobe’s Premiere Pro edit solutions. It allows enhanced conversion between the world’s different global standards for frame rates and formats used by broadcasters, content distributors and post-production professionals.
The high quality and fast MainConcept AVC/H.264, MPEG-2, MPEG-4 Part 2, DNxHD / DNxHR, DVCPRO HD and JPEG 2000 SDKs are integrated into FrameFormer plug-in products addressing video encoding and decoding. This is part of the conversion of broadcast standards in file-to-file workflows, directly integrated into popular video editing software. The MainConcept Decoders allow ingest of source files to the FrameFormer standards converter within Apple’s FinalCut Pro X and Adobe’s Premiere Pro packages, and to re-encode the converted output using the renowned MainConcept Encoders, making the process easy and efficient for the customer.
“The powerful and highly flexible MainConcept Encoder and Decoder SDKs make them the perfect fit for enhancing a wide variety of multimedia use-cases,” said Deacon Johnson, SVP Global Sales - Technology Licensing for MainConcept at NeuLion. “InSync Technology uses the MainConcept Codecs for importing and exporting various professional formats in their FrameFormer plug-in series to power state-of-the-art video editing solutions from Apple and Adobe. This streamlined workflow attains the best quality output. Where a standard feature set does not provide the desired results, the MainConcept SDK components are able to satisfy customer expectations.”
“InSync's customers expect reliable and efficient applications,” adds Paola Hobson, Managing Director of InSync Technology. ”We chose MainConcept for the file decode and encode parts of our FrameFormer motion compensated standards converter as these are mature codecs and a proven brand that our customers recognize.”
