The free demo version of MainConcept Reference can be downloaded here. It is a kind of main application which includes the most important MainConcept codecs as a demo. Then you can test the power of the codecs the way you already know from the popular MPEG Encoder and H.264 Encoder applications in the past. The demo version of MainConcept Reference is fully functional, though it adds a watermark to processed video (without harming your source material). Moreover, it has an AAC and Dolby Digital (AC-3) Audio encoding limitation of 30 seconds. When you are interested in obtaining the full version of the codec, you have to purchase and install the appropriate plug-in module(s) for MainConcept Reference, such as MainConcept Reference H.264/AVC, MainConcept Reference MPEG-2 etc. When you purchase the full version of a module (e.g. MainConcept Reference H.264/AVC), you will receive a serial number and a link for downloading the full version of the plug-in. The key must be entered during the modules installation. Otherwise, the full version will not be installed.

Before you install a new version of MainConcept Reference, you should uninstall the previous one by using the Control Panel. Afterwards, you can install the main application on your system as usual again.
NOTE: If you want to import *.mov files using the QuickTime import module, the Apple QuickTime Player must be installed on your system.
