- DVCPRO HD enhances MPEG Pro™ HD by the capability to import, edit natively and export DV and DVCPRO 25/50/HD with special support for Panasonic P2 format including multichannel audio.
- Import and export formats are AVI, DIF and MXF (SMPTE 383M - clip wrapped).
- Import of DV/DVCPRO AVIs with multiple separate mono PCM streams.
- Special importer for XML files that describe the relation between video and audio MXF files (one file per channel) which allows to import corresponding video/audio files in a rush.
- MXF export can generate a P2 style folder structure (virtual P2 device) that includes MXF video/audio, XML files and thumbnail bitmaps or can add clips to an existing P2 style folder.
- DVCPRO HD is an add-on to MPEG Pro™ HD, this means it requires MPEG Pro™ HD 3.0 to be installed prior.
- Optimized import modules to overcome Adobe Premiere Pro‘s resource problem, in order to allow a faster handling of a huge amount of imported clips, especially HD.
- Improved player module with asynchronous rendering and frame prefetch to eliminate delays during transition between clips on timeline.
- Added multi-monitor support for Player module.
- Added full 16:9 support for timeline playback to external DV device.
- Support for DV AVI multiple mono streams.
- Support for Adobes Tdat chunks in DV AVI to get access to the DV frames' start timecode.
- Support for all DVCPRO P2 formats in AVI and RAW DIF.
- DVCPRO is available in two versions:
- SD version with support for DV (IEC-61834), DVCPRO-25 and DVCPRO-50 (SMPTE 314M)
- HD version with additional support for DVCPRO-HD (SMPTE 370M).
