Aachen, Germany and Tokyo, Japan - May 29, 2006 - MainConcept, a worldwide leader in codec technology, announced today that it has licensed its H.264/AVC codec technology to Pegasys Inc. Pegasys will implement the MainConcept H.264 Codec, enhancing two of its upcoming products, "VideoSync (Movie to Portable)" and "TMPGEnc 4.0 XPress". |

"VideoSync (Movie to Portable)" enables PC users to quickly and easily convert various video formats to optimized files for mobile devices, such as portable players and PDAs. With its folder monitoring function, video files can be encoded automatically without user intervention.
With help of "TMPGEnc 4.0 XPress", users can encode videos to and from various formats, such as MPEG, AVI or WMV. With the implementation of MainConcept's H.264 technology, this new version also supports the MPEG-4 Part 10 standard.
