MainConcept Licenses Its H.264/AVC Technology To MobiTV

Aachen, Germany – June 28, 2006 – MainConcept, a worldwide leader of codec technology, announced that it has licensed its H.264/AVC Codec Technology to MobiTV, Inc. MainConcept is recognized industry-wide as the leader in software H.264 encoding and decoding on the desktop, home and professional environments and now is presenting MobiTV with their mobile solution.

MobiTV, the global leader in television and digital radio services for cellular, Wi-Fi and broadband enabled devices, has implemented the MainConcept H.264 Encoder and Decoder for its mobile environment. Using MainConcept’s H.264 codec implementation, MobiTV expects to have more efficient video delivery.
