MainConcept™ Codec SDK is the new cross-platform SDK that contains all of the most important industry standard video codecs in wide distribution today.

The MainConcept Codec SDK (Software Development Kit) contains everything a professional software developer needs to integrate video and audio compression into his applications. The SDK contains all of the most important industry standard video codecs in wide distribution today including the ones listed below:

• H.264/AVC
• MPEG-1/2
• MPEG-4 Part 2 / H.263
• VC-1
• DV, DVCPRO 25, DVCPRO 50 and DVCPRO HD
• JPEG2000
• Motion-JPEG
• DivX

The SDK also contains mass market audio codecs including MPEG, AAC, HE AAC, AMR, PCM and WMA. Dolby Digital Consumer audio codecs are available separately on request.

Most naturally, MainConcept also offers the necessary multiplexers and demultiplexers for MP4, MPEG, MXF, ASF and DV, in order to create streams for popular formats, including Blu-ray, AVCHD, Adobe Flash, Apple iPod, Sony PSP, DVD and many more. It also includes an updated set of network streaming components that allow sending and receiving SD and HD streams over local and wide area networks.

The Codec SDK is available as 32-bit as well as 64-bit version for Windows, Mac OS X (Intel only) and Linux.

Using the demo version of our Codec SDK, developers can integrate all available technology to evaluate the quality and performance of the codecs. And after deciding which components are needed, customers can license either a subset of available technologies or the entire SDK.

MainConcept’s Codec SDK contains all DirectShow filters as well as Low Level components in demo mode, and comes together with several sample applications and a full set of documentations.
