The MainConcept Codec SDK (Software Development Kit) contains everything a professional software developer needs to integrate video and audio compression into his applications. The SDK contains all of the most important industry standard video codecs in wide distribution today including MPEG-1, MPEG-2, MPEG-4 Part 2, H.264, VC-1, DV, DVCPRO 25, DVCPRO 50, DVCPRO HD and JPEG2000. The SDK also contains mass market audio codecs including MPEG, AAC, HE AAC, AMR and WMA. Dolby Digital (AC-3) and Dolby Digital Plus audio codecs are available separately on request.
Most naturally, MainConcept also offers the necessary multiplexers and demultiplexers for MP4, MPEG, MXF, ASF and DV, in order to create streams for popular formats, including Blu-ray, AVCHD, Apple iPod, Sony PSP, DVD and many more. It also includes an updated set of network streaming components that allow sending and receiving SD and HD streams over local and wide area networks.
Using the demo version of our Codec SDK, developers can integrate all available technology to evaluate the quality and performance of the codecs. And after deciding which components are needed, customers can license either a subset of available technologies or the entire SDK.
