MainConcept Decoder Packs represent a simple plug-in approach to add popular professional video formats support to popular Windows® player applications supporting DirectShow, such as the Windows Media Player. MainConcept Decoder Packs are available for:

• MPEG-1/2
• H.264/AVC
• H.264/AVC Broadcast including AVC-Intra and 4:2:2 chroma support
• MPEG-4 part 2/H.263
• DVCPRO HD (includes DV and DVCPRO 25/50)
• JPEG2000

Depending on the installed MainConcept Decoder Pack, your video player is automatically enhanced by adding the capability of playing back one of the above formats. After installing our powerful decoder, the Windows Media Player, MainConcept ShowCase and similar DirectShow players are able to play back the corresponding streams, regardless whether they are available as elementary or muxed streams, in real-time using the powerful MainConcept DirectShow filters. Of course, the Decoder Packs come with the corresponding audio decoder and demuxer filters.

High-Resolution Manuals:
In order to keep the file size reasonable, the MainConcept Decoder Packs include a user guide with low-resolution graphics only. However, we make high-resolution manuals available for free download separately below, in zipped Adobe® Acrobat® format (Currently only available in English).
