MainConcept DVCPRO HD is a full-featured DVCPRO 25/50/100 transcoding codec plug-in for MainConcept Reference 2. It enhances the transcoder application with the capability to import and encode DV and DVCPRO 25/50/100.

It offers professional features such as watch folder and batch list encoding. Additionally, it includes a powerful capture engine* that allows you to capture from camcorders, webcams, etc. in their native or another format if available.

With the installed codec, the software is fully compliant with the following standards: DV (IEC-61834), DVCPRO 25 and DVCPRO 50 (SMPTE 314M) as well as DVCPRO HD (SMPTE 370M). MainConcept DVCPRO 25/50 and DVCPRO HD allow you to export clips into the DIF format. It delivers considerably higher picture quality since it allows video data rates up to 100 Mb/s. The plug-in supports all major YUV and RGB color spaces, including YUV 4:2:2.

*Capturing is only available in Reference for Windows.

The full license codec Plug-In provides unrestricted DVCPRO HD support. When purchasing the full license Plug-In, you will receive a serial number to unlock the appropriate codec in the free MainConcept Reference 2 base application. The base application must be installed on your system.

To use MainConcept Reference 2, you'll need to make sure that your computer system meets at least these minimum requirements:
