MainConcept Codec Suite 5 Broadcast comes with CUDA H.264/AVC encoding that offers export of your projects by making use of Nvidia’s GPU hardware acceleration architecture. With a high-end Nvidia graphics card full HD H264 exports faster than realtime are possible. Additionally the ultra-fast Smart Rendering for MPEG-1/2, DVCPRO and AVC-Intra helps to boost up the export performance dramatically with speeds of up to five times realtime. Moreover, it offers advanced export settings that give the user full flexibility to specify the target formats details in a wide range and to create and save your own custom presets.

An additional Dolby Digital Professional Add-On for Codec Suite 5 allows exporting your projects with stereo or 5.1 multichannel Dolby Digital Professional audio.

* H.264/AVC CUDA Encoding currently only supports a reduced set of profiles and features, e.g. encoding of Blu-ray compliant streams is not yet possible. The current version misses the following features:

• No interlace support
• No MBAFF support
• No Hadamard transformation
• No intra prediction 8x8
• Only ConstQ and ABR available (no CBR, no HRD support yet)
• No adaptive B-frames support
• No weighted prediction

They will be implemented in one of the following versions of Codec Suite.

• MainConcept Codec Suite 5 is available for Microsoft Windows (64-bit). It is designed to work on any PC which meets Adobe Premiere Pro CS5 minimum system requirements.
• Requires Adobe Premiere Pro CS5 (does not work with any version below CS5)
• Additional requirements for CUDA H.264/AVC encoding: NVIDIA graphics card with CUDA support (Professional- Tesla, Quadro 4000-series and higher, FX, CX, NVS, QuadroPlex; Consumer - GeForce 8, 9, 100-series and higher GPUs - with a minimum of 256 MB of local graphics memory card or 512 MB for 1920x1080p encoding).
• CUDA compute capability 1.1 and higher is strongly recommended (excludes certain GeForce 8800 models - GTS, Ultra. Compute capability 1.0 works in general for encoding , but has known issues.
• In addition to these requirements, video editing requires that your system is operating smoothly.

Attention:

• Before you start to install the new version of the Codec Suite Plug-In, please uninstall the current one. Additionally, make sure that no other MainConcept or Adobe Creative Suite program is running during uninstalling or installing new MainConcept software.
