The MainConcept DVCPRO 25/50 DV Codec is our new product for amateurs and professionals working with high end Video. DVCPRO 50 delivers considerably higher picture quality since it uses less compression than DV. The Codec comes with a full-featured DirectShow filter. It is compatible with any program which supports the standard DirectShow interface. The latest version now supports Video for Windows as well.

In order to keep the file size very small, we didn't include a documentation with the DVCPRO 25/50 Codec. However, here you find a manual which briefly introduces the most important options of the codec. The documentations are available for free downloading below in Adobe® Acrobat® PDF format.

To use the DVCPRO 25/50 Codec, you'll need to make sure that your computer system meets at least these minimum requirements:

Operating systems:
Microsoft® Windows® 2000 or XP (we recommend to install always the current Service Pack for the used operating system, e. g. for Windows® 2000 it's Service Pack 4 right now), Microsoft® DirectX 9.0®

Attention:
Before you start to install the new version of the DVCPRO 25/50 Codec, please uninstall the current one. Additionally, make sure that no other MainConcept program is running during uninstallation or installation.
