News from the lab: Optimization on latest 12 Core (Gulftown) and 16 Core (Gainestown) systems for MPEG-2 Encoder completed.

Our development team recently gave a new version of the MPEG Encoder to the QA lab to get the scaling performance checked against older versions from previous SDK releases. The results showed gains from 25 % to 99 % higher frames per second with the new version. This optimization will be part of the next SDK release 8.7.
